This is an easy ride in the outskirts of Granada.
The route takes you out of the city center - and its terribly aligned traffic flow - as quickly as possible. You follow the Rio Genil westbound, passing through rather charmless and sleepy villages. Soon enough though, you find a perfect road that seemingly goes nowhere in particularly. The occasional truck that flies by seems to indicate otherwise. Indeed, there are some industrial and business parks passed the village of La Malahá.
The road towards this town goes up every so slightly, and upon leaving the town, the gradient kicks up a few percentages. It’s an easy climb with many corners, making this a pleasant ride.
At the top, it’s mostly downhill back to Granada. Following the main roads, you’ll be back in no time to take a quick shower and head out into town for a beer and a free tapa.
