The land of olive groves and rolling hills, Jaén is an underappreciated cycling destination.
Tucked away in the rugged heart of Andalucía, Jaén is a rising star on the cycling map — a province where olive groves stretch to the horizon and quiet roads wind through dramatic mountain landscapes. Its varied terrain makes it a rewarding destination for cyclists seeking both challenge and solitude.
From the legendary climb of La Pandera, a regular fixture in the Vuelta a España, to the peaceful trails of the Vía Verde del Aceite, Jaén caters to climbers and cruisers alike. With a warm, dry climate and low traffic roads, the province offers ideal conditions for year-round riding — all set against a backdrop of Moorish castles, whitewashed villages, and the endless green of the world’s largest olive oil-producing region.
